THE LAST DCLGA COMMITTEE MEETING

GOOD BYE DCLGA - HELLO DEVON GOLF

Monday, 27th March 2018 saw the last of the DCLGA's committee meetings. After 118 years we have merged with Devon Golf from 1st April and will be working for all golfers in Devon. Of course, we will continue to represent the ladies and their interests, but golf is evolving and we, too, have to move with the times.

The last committee meeting was convivial, a little tying up of loose ends, dealing with immediate tasks as we team up with Devon Golf and a nifty glass of Prosecco and some excellent cake - but not out of DCLGA expenses you understand!

A massive thank you to all Devon lady golfers who have supported the DCLGA over the years - by playing in the many competitions and inter-club competitions which will continue under Devon Golf. To those who gave unstintingly of their time to sit endlessly in committee meetings but for a good cause.

We have a long and rich history which can be read in the Centenary Book (all clubs have copies) and look forward to moving forward with the men as Devon Golf Ltd (DGL).

A thank you to all the clubs who gave up time to host competitions and the ladies who ball spotted and helped in many ways. A special thank you to Exeter Golf & Country Club who have hosted our committee meetings over many years and been incredibly supportive.
