DELEGATES' VOTING 2017

The results are in. Devon's ladies voted "Yes" to all 3 proposals as follows:

1. In accordance with paragraph 21 of the Constitution, to delete paragraph 23 of the Constitution and to replace it with the following:-

Clause 23 – Dissolution of the DCLGA

“A majority of members voting at any General Meeting or Annual General Meeting may resolve to transfer the business and assets to any golf body provided such body shall include within its purposes promoting, administering and encouraging the development of, and wider participation in, and furthering the interest of amateur golf within Devon. Such transfer may include an agreement to indemnify DCLGA, its officers, members, and members of any of its committees against all costs, claims, demands, actions and proceedings relating to their assets and undertakings and in respect of all liabilities, obligations and commitments.

Whether or not such transfer has taken place, a majority of members voting at any General Meeting or Annual General Meeting may resolve to dissolve the DCLGA, and that such dissolution take effect immediately, by such date specified in the Resolution, or on a date agreed by the Committee.  If upon the winding up or dissolution of DCLGA there remains after the satisfaction of all its debts and liabilities any property whatsoever the same shall be paid to or distributed among the clubs affiliated to the DCLGA.

For the avoidance of doubt, provided the necessary Notices have been given for such resolutions at either a General or Annual General Meeting, and provided the vote does not take place until this Paragraph comes into effect, such Notices may have been served prior to this Paragraph coming into effect.”
