Safeguarding and Protecting Children

County Welfare Policy For Safeguarding Children
(those under the age of 18 years)

The DCLGA is committed to recognising the policies of England Golf as set out in the "Guidelines For Safeguarding Children In Golf". It acknowledges its' duty of care to all children involved in golf whatever their age, culture, disability, gender, language, ethnic origin, religious and political beliefs.

It upholds the aim of providing children with appropriate safety and protection while involved with the game of golf. It should reassure parents that their children will receive the best practical care when participating in County activities. It should ensure all professionals, staff and volunteers have the appropriate DBS checks and are able to make informed and confident responses to specific child protection issues.
