DEVON  COUNTY LADIES COMMITTEE
CHRISTMAS JOLLY!

Last Friday, on a fine day, with some sunshine, the County Committee were invited down to Staddon Heights by Barbara Perriton, the County Captain, for a very enjoyable day. After a mince pie, with clotted cream and coffee, we set off in drawn 3s for a stableford with 2 scores to count. Some hours later, we collapsed over a cup of tea or something stronger, and then were shown into the dining room for a delicious 2 course meal, with wine, and presents. I had planned to thank Barbara for organising the event, but was thrown off balance by winning the stableford with the County Chairman, and the Vets. Captain. It was a very relaxing day, with little or no talk about county matters, and a lovely thank you to all the committee members for the time and effort they had given during the year.
